Contractors in the Poconos

Contractors in the Pocono Mountains of PA can be a curious bunch. I have lived and worked her for the last 30 years. There is a reason that a local pluming and heating guy’s motto is “We always show up” because that is a miracle as it is! I have witnessed this over the last 30 years and frankly, I do not get it. When I do not return a call, or do not show up, I do not get paid. When I do not get paid, I cannot pay the bills the business has. When I cannot pay the bills, I go out of business. No matter how I run the scenario in my head, the end result is go out of business. I just do not get it.
In the immortal words of Jerry Garcia when talking about saving the rain forests

”Somebody needs to do something — it’s just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.”

A Few Good Men

In our property maintenance branch of our family of fine companies, I have developed special relationships with Craftsmen who share the same high ideals of customer service, honesty, integrity, and dependability. Not only will they “Show Up” but they will complete the job in a timely fashion and do so because I have 30 years of working with them, and its my name on the line here. If they were for some reason make you angry, they will lose one customer, make me angry, and they lose hundreds of customers. So, they tend not to do that.
